A Russian league club is interested in buying Sweden midfielder Ola Toivonen from PSV Eindhoven, the player's agent Martin Dahlin was quoted as saying by Dutch magazine Voetbal International on Saturday.
Toivonen is in Sweden's Euro 2012 squad and has 19 caps for his country.
"I am aware of the serious interest of a Russian club," Martin Dahlin, Toivonen's agent was quoted as saying by Dutch magazine Voetbal International. "I will not name it."
The players doesn't feel too enthusiastic over the move to Russia, but might be persuaded by a good offer, Dahlin added.
"Until recently Toivonen was only open to clubs from the so-called classic big leagues," he said. "But the economic situation in those countries leaves us no choice. Moreover, the Russian competition is getting better and better. We can't ignore this. "
"If the Russian league club reaches an agreement with PSV, we will at least listen to their proposal."
Toivonen, 25, joined PSV from Swedish side Malmo in 2009. Since then he has scored 39 goals in 83 appearances, and has played both as an attacking midfielder and as a striker.
He scored the opener as PSV won the Dutch Cup in April with a 3-0 victory against Heracles.
Toivonen has scored six goals for Sweden since making his internation debut in 2007.
Sweden face co-hosts Ukraine in their first game of Euro 2012 on Monday before taking on England on Friday and playing France on Tuesday.
