For Sunday's crunch Euro 2012 match against Germany, Denmark can't count on the surprise factor that helped topple the same opponents in the final two decades ago, coach Morten Olsen said Saturday.

Kim Vilfort and John Jensen scored a goal in each half to help the Danes to a shock 2-0 victory over the then-world champions at Euro 92, a tournament in which few opponents had done their homework on Denmark because they were a late replacement for Yugoslavia.

But Denmark can't count on such naivety for the forthcoming Group B match in which they must win, or draw and hope that Portugal are defeated by the Dutch, to progress to the knockout stage.

"I'm absolutely sure that Germany will not underestimate Denmark tomorrow," Olsen said. "They will not make the mistake of 20 years ago."

Olsen has winger Dennis Rommedahl and defensive midfielder Niki Zimling out with muscle strains.

The Germans are top of the group and need a point to make sure of a quarterfinal place.
