Russia and the United States have created the necessary conditions for a breakthrough in their bilateral trade and economic relations, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said on Sunday.
“We have the necessary background for an economic breakthrough: last year, the Russia-U.S. trade turnover has reached $31.2 million, which is by 14.3 percent higher than in the pre-crisis 2008,” he said.
“A range of new agreements in many spheres has been reached, including the unprecedented strategic partnership agreement between Rosneft and Exxon-Mobil, stipulating the development of deposits in the Black and Kara seas as well as in Western Siberia…”
Close ties between Russia and the United States have helped Russia to finally enter the World Trade Organization, Ushakov added. “This will help seriously increase volumes of bilateral trade turnover, increase number of jobs and improve living standards.”
