Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky is an injury doubt for his team's Euro 2012 quarterfinal against Portugal, coach Michal Bilek said Monday.
The Arsenal midfielder sustained an achilles tendon injury against Greece on Tuesday, as his team snatched a 2-1 victory that later proved crucial to qualifying from Group A.
Rosicky flew to Prague on Sunday evening for a medical treatment, and is expected to return to Poland Tuesday.
"We will have to take into consideration the possibility that he might not be able to play, but there are still a few days for him to recover – there is a chance," Bilek said on the UEFA website.
Rosicky has 20 goals in 86 Czech caps and has been captain since Pavel Nedved retired in 2006.
He missed the Czech Republic's Euro 2008 campaign with injury, when the Czechs failed to qualify from the group stage.
