Two Polish TV employees have been fired for showing the Soviet flag on one of its newscasts giving the result of the Euro 2012 co-host's match with Russia, Gazeta.pl reported on Wednesday.
The graphic of a red hammer-and-sickle flag appeared during an evening news show on June 13.
Show editors were have also been reprimanded and deprived of their honorarium.
Show anchor Piotr Krasko said the controversial graphic was prepared for an earlier discussion of past matches between Poland and the Soviet Union, Reuters reported.
