Mo Farah retained his 5,000 meter title at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki on Wednesday.
Farah, 29, took the competition's first gold medal by winning in a time of 13 minutes, 29.91 seconds, just two seconds ahead of Germany's Arne Gabius and Turkey's Polat Kemboi Arikan, who was a further second behind.
