A three-day mourning will be declared in Central Russia’s Pskov region starting July 9 after a bus carrying Russian pilgrims crashed in Ukraine on Saturday, killing at least fourteen and injuring 22 people, regional administration reported.
“The state flags will be dipped and all the entertaining events and TV programs will be cancelled on July 9-11,” Pskov region’s administration said in a statement.
The bus run off the road as it was carrying 45 passengers from Pskov Region to the Ukraine’s Pochayiv Lavra (large monastery).
All of the injured Russian pilgrims have been taken to a hospital in Chernigov, three of them remain in critical condition.
Russia will send two planes to take the victims of the crash back home.
