A Russian army sergeant has been sentenced to three years behind bars for attempting to sell a bomb in Russia’s North Caucasus, investigators said on Tuesday.
Staff Sergeant Ramil Rakhimov, who served as deputy commander of a sapper unit, was arrested in the republic of North Ossetia in April on charges of attempting to sell an explosive device.
Police also seized 138 bullets, a grenade, ten TNT sticks, a number of detonators, a smoke bomb and other explosives from Rakhimov.
