Russian President Vladimir Putin will on Wednesday meet with Raul Castro, the president of Cuba’s Council of State and Council of Ministers, during the latter’s visit to Russia, the Kremlin reported.
The two leaders’ talks will focus on economic and investment cooperation. They are also set to discuss efforts to boost and diversify trade, as well as key projects in energy, transport and telecommunications.
“The meeting will continue a series of bilateral top level contacts and will be the third for both leaders,” the Kremlin said. “Earlier meetings were held in Havana in December 2000 and in Moscow in February 2009.”
