On July 13, the Russian State Duma passed a bill forcing non-government organizations (NGO) engaged in political activity with foreign financing to be classed as "foreign agents." Members of the Yabloko party protested against the passage of the new law.
On July 10, the Russian-language segment of Wikipedia temporarily suspended its work in protest against a bill proposing a unified digital blacklist of all websites containing banned content.
