The museum lies 25 kilometers from Arkhangelsk.

The museum’s area covers nearly 140 hectares, with 120 churches, chapels, bell towers, peasant houses, mills, and barns built in the 16th –early 20th centuries.

Malye Korely Museum is the keeper of original heritage of the Arkhangelsk region. Folklore festivals are held regularly.
