A North Korean citizen was injured and allegedly robbed of $100,000 on Tuesday in what seems to be a planned assault by a group of criminals in western Moscow, police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, two assailants driving an unidentified car intercepted N. Korean’s BMW 525 sedan on a street, shot the man with a non-lethal gun, took his briefcase with money and drove off.
“The victim claims he was robbed of $100,000,” a police spokesman said. “A search for the criminals is underway.”
The police official did not disclose the identity or the status of the North Korean man.
