A two-headed, four-eyed pig was born at a farm in central Russia, the Bryansk regional veterinary service said on Wednesday.
The mutant was born alongside 10 normal siblings and there was no apparent cause for the mutation. The piglet died several days later.
“Two-headed pigs are born in other countries, and that is no news,” the service stated.
Scientists say that mutant genes are unviable and are not inherited, but “they are unable to explain the cause of the mutation,” the service added.
