Madonna changed outfits several times during the show. The costume change was from a form-fitting black suit to a provocative red and white cheerleader uniform during the famous song Express Yourself.

And she served up the new song “Give Me All Your Luvin' ” in the atmosphere of a spectacular parade...

...drummers marched not only on stage, but hovered in the air...

... and dancers, led by a flirtatiously winking Madonna, raised their skirts.

During her performance, Madonna thanked the crowd of her Russian fans that had gathered that night at the Olympic Stadium for supporting her for so many years throughout all her endeavors.

In addition, Madonna once again expressed support for the Russian punk band Pussy Riot.

“My dream and my prayer is that everyone in the world has this right [to express their opinions] not only here in Russia but in France, in Iran, everywhere in the world,” Madonna said. “Masha, Katya, Nadya – I think that they have done something courageous. I think they have paid the price for this act and I pray for their freedom.”

Madonna gave the audience the chance to sing parts of the last two songs – “Like a Prayer” and “Celebration” – by sticking the microphone into the fan zone.

Madonna disappeared from the stage just as suddenly as she arrived. A complex multi-level stage just hid her from the audience, and only her voice was still heard, "Thank you, Moscow, I love you."
