The Colombian defeated Pen-Ek Karaket of Thailand 6-4 on points, doing the damage in round two while tying the first and third rounds.
Alexei Denisenko of Russia won a bronze in the division's other repechage bout, narrowly defeating Australia's Safwan Khalil.
