Robelis Despaigne of Cuba and Liu Xiaobo claimed bronze in the men’s +80 kilogram taekwondo on Saturday.
Despaigne after his opponent Daba Modibo Keita of Mali, withdrew before the fight.
Liu racked up the crucial points in the first round, beating his opponent Bahri Tanrikulu of Turkey 3-2, with the remaining two rounds staying at 0-0.
The gold medal final between Anthony Obame of Gabon and Carlo Molfetta of Italy is later Saturday.
