Russia won 3 gold medals on August 7 as well. Natalia Ishchenko and Svetlana Romashina won the women's duet in synchronized swimming at London's Olympic Games.
On the penultimate day of the games, Russia managed to scoop up gold medals in several different sports. The first to win on Saturday were Alexander Dyachenko and Yury Postrigay in the final of the men's kayak double 200m.
