Vladivostok and the Khasan District were the hardest hit by typhoon Bolaven, with wind speeds reaching 33 meters per second. The eye of the typhoon is located above China and is drifting northwest at a speed of nearly 60 kph.
The typhoon virtually stopped influencing weather conditions in Vladivostok Wednesday evening and moved into the central and northern areas of the Primorye Territory.

On Wednesday, workers repaired damaged power networks and reactivated the Gornostai pumping station, which delivers cold water to many Vladivostok districts.

Typhoon Bolaven originated in the southern Pacific. On Saturday August 25, wind speeds in the eye of the typhoon had reached 70 meters per second. The typhoon kicked up ten-meter-high waves for the first time since 1956.
