Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday unveiled a new station on the Moscow subway system.
Novokosino, the 186th station on the subway system, reaches beyond the Moscow proper into the capital’s eastern suburb of Reutovo.
It took four years and 20 billion rubles (about $700 million) to build the 3.5-kilometer stretch from Novogireyevo, on the city’s edge.
The Moscow subway has a total of 12 lines with an overall length of 300 kilometers.
A total of 150 kilometers of new lines with 70 stations are to be built by 2020 at a cost of over 1 trillion rubles.
