Residents of the central Kazakh city of Temirtau found a bag outside their home containing a crocodile and a royal python that were stolen from a local exhibition, an exhibition organizer said on Monday.
Two royal pythons, a crocodile, an iguana, four turtles and a rabbit were stolen from an exhibition in the city’s botanical garden. Police opened a criminal case into the theft.
“Residents of Temirtau have found a bag with a crocodile and a python in their yard and brought it back to the botanical garden,” an exhibition organizer said, adding that the animals were exhausted.
“They had to spend a lot of time without food or water, but their lives are out of danger now,” he added.
