Russia and Italy will develop a new patrol hydroplane, Russian Technologies State Corporation’s deputy chief Dmitry Shugayev said on Thursday.
“We have signed an agreement with the Italian company OMA SUD on the development of a patrol aircraft that will also be able to perform humanitarian and dual-purpose missions,” he said.
The new plane will be manufactured at the Taganrog-based Beriev Aircraft Company.
“It will be a new aircraft,” he said, adding that it will be made with Italian technology.
