KHL team Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, reborn after last year's air crash that wiped out the entire roster, recorded its second win of the new season on Saturday.
First- and second-period goals from Maxim Turniev and Yegor Averin propelled Lokomotiv to a 2-1 road win at Amur Khabarovsk.
It was a second away victory in Siberia for the team, registered a day after the one-year anniversary of the air disaster.
The team made an emotional return to the ice on Thursday with a 5-2 victory over Sibir Novosibirsk.
Lokomotiv was en route to its first game of the 2011-12 season on September 7 in Belarus when its jet crashed on take-off, killing 44 people.
Since the tragedy, the three-time Russian champion has assembled a new squad for its return to the KHL after fielding a makeshift team of youth players and loan signings in the junior MHL last season.
The city of Yaroslavl held a series of memorial services all day Friday, as fans took part in a silent march to the Lokomotiv arena and released balloons at 16:05, the exact time of the crash.
