Spartak Moscow coach Unai Emery is seeking a shock win against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday despite being the underdogs away from home.
The last team to beat Barcelona at Camp Nou in European competition was another Russian club, Rubin Kazan, in 2009.
"We've arrived we the idea that we should win. We know that Barcelona are the favorites in this group but we also want to go our own way," Emery said Tuesday.
"We will be playing in one of the most difficult stadiums in this group, of these four teams, but our idea is very clear and understandable - we want to beat FC Barcelona."
Spartak also face Benfica and Celtic in Group C.
Emery previously coached Valencia and Almeria before joining Spartak at the end of last season. His teams have played Barcelona 12 teams but he has yet to taste success.
