Undefeated Russian boxer Alexander Bakhtin scored an assured unanimous points win over Filipino Roli Gasca on Tuesday night to take the vacant IBO super bantamweight title.
The Russian goes to 30 wins in 30 fights with 11 career knockouts after the bout in a Moscow business center went to the judges.
Bakhtin, 31, was awarded the decision after a dominating display, scoring a unanimous 118-111, 119-110 and 118-110.
Gasca, 23, goes to19-6 with five knockouts and no draws.
Bakhtin is ranked third in the world by the WBC and sixth by the WBA and IBF.
The IBO title is not the first for the Russian, who was a long-time Japanese national champion.
