A woman in northern Russia’s Severodvinsk admitted killing her boyfriend in a quarrel over a pet rat, the local department of the Investigative Committee said on Thursday.
The 24-year old woman accused the 45-year old man of getting rid of her pet rat, whom she could not find in the apartment, and stabbed him to death with a glass shard, the committee said, adding that both were drunk.
The woman is now facing up to 15 years in jail.
