A woman in Russia’s predominantly Islamic republic of Tatarstan was injured on Monday when an unidentified explosive device went off in her apartment, the Interior Ministry said.
A woman in Russia’s predominantly Islamic republic of Tatarstan was injured on Monday when an unidentified explosive device went off in her apartment, the Interior Ministry said.
The woman found a package on the stairway of her nine-story residential building in the city of Almetyevsk and brought it into her apartment. The package exploded when she tried to unwrap it.
She was later taken to hospital.
A team of police experts are working at the scene.
