MOSCOW, October 9 (RIA Novosti) - Spartak Moscow’s injured midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado is likely to return to action in time for his team’s game against Anzhi on October 20, Spartak said Tuesday.

Jurado, on loan from Germany's FC Schalke, has not played since limping off with a thigh strain in Spartak’s 3-1 win over FC Rostov two weeks ago.

At the time, Spartak said they feared he could be out for a month.

“According to doctors, the trajectory of his recovery is positive,” Spartak said in a website statement.

“Soon he will be able to return to the main [training] group and by October 20, the day of the away match with Anzhi, he should be able to come onto the pitch.”

He was in light training away from the rest of the Spartak team Tuesday, the club said.

Jurado joined Spartak on loan from Schalke last month, and has one assist in three games for Unai Emery's side.
