Rubin Kazan defender Ivan Marcano has been suspended for three Russian Premier League matches for a brutal foul in their 2-0 away defeat to CSKA Moscow on Sunday.
The Spaniard received a straight red card for a karate-style kick at Keisuke Honda in the 72nd minute.
The ban leaves Kurban Berdyev's side without their two main center backs as another Spaniard, Cesar Navas, was handed a seven-match suspension last week for breaking the jaw of Amkar Perm's Martin Jakubko.
Marcano, who moved to Kazan from Villareal in June, has made 10 league appearances for the Tatarstan side.
Rubin are eighth in the league.
