Skating prodigy Polina Korobeynikova won the women’s singles at the prestigious Coupe de Nice on Sunday after a dominant performance in the free skate.
The Russian, 16, had been 11th after the short program, but scored 105.34 in Sunday’s free skate to overhaul her competitors and win by 1.58 points from Sweden’s Isabelle Olsson, with Russia’s Kristina Zaseeva.
The win is the first senior title for Korobeynikova.
