MOSCOW, November 8 (R-Sport) - Vladimir Dyadyun's early header gave Rubin Kazan a 1-0 win at Neftci Baku on Thursday to put the Russian side on the brink of qualification for the Europa League knockout stage.
Rubin's third group stage victory means they will qualify for the round of 32 if Partizan Belgrade fail to beat Inter Milan later Thursday.
Dyadyun struck on 16 minutes, directing Bibras Natkho's cross into the corner of Sasa Stamenkovic's goal.
Rubin dominated the match in Azerbaijan, creating several more chances and largely restricting their hosts to pot shots.
The result is a repeat of Rubin's home victory over Neftci last month.
Kurban Berdyev's earned a creditable 2-2 draw at Inter in their first game of the campaign, and also scored a 2-0 home win over Partizan Belgrade.
Rubin next host Inter in Kazan on November 21, when Neftci play Partizan.
