MOSCOW, November 10 (R-Sport) - Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov stormed to pairs victory in the Cup of Russia by a 16-point margin Saturday for their second Grand Prix title of the season.
The double world silver medalists scored 132.79 points in the free skate to set a 207.53 total and win their home tournament in Moscow.
Fellow Russians Vera Bazarova and Yuri Larionov took second place with 191.08.
Volosozhar and Trankov started their season on a high last month by winning Skate America.
Third place went to Caydee Denney and John Coughlin of the United States on 179.21.
The top five remained unchanged after Friday’s short program.
Earlier, Kiira Korpi of Finland edged out Gracie Gold of the United States to win the women’s event.
