MOSCOW, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - The headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, was partially flooded early on Sunday as a result of a water pipe burst, RTS said.
The old pipe, laid about 200 meters from the Olympic headquarters, burst and about 40 cubic meters of water gushed into the building’s basement. About a third of the organization’s archives were damaged as a result.
It took about two hours to repair the pipe.
The IOC said it would resume its work no earlier than Wednesday, November 14.
