WASHINGTON, November 13 (RIA Novosti) - Move over Batman, there is a new comic book star on the rise. Russian born billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, owner of the US National Basketball Association’s Brooklyn Nets, is the star of a new biographical comic book released late last week.
“I just think his life story is a comic book…he is sort of like Bruce Wayne, in a sense, or the Russian Bruce Wayne,” said publisher Darren Davis of Bluewater Productions to the New York Post.
The 24-page comic book called "Orbit: Mikhail Prokhorov" chronicles Prokhorov’s childhood in Russia, his purchase of the Nets, his run for the Russian presidency, and the opening of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, the Nets new home.
“I just thought his life was fascinating, and thought I could make this a really good comic book,” Davis said.
Prokhorov is the latest in a string of celebrities that have been the subject of Bluewater comic books, including pop-star Justin Bieber, Apple founder Steve Jobs, and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
