The Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (Izhmekh) is a major multi-role Russian enterprise with state-of-the-art engineering, metallurgical, instrument engineering and microelectronics technologies. The enterprise manufactures civilian and service arms, packing equipment, electrical tools, kitchen appliances, oil and gas equipment, medical equipment and high-precision steel castings.

The Izhmash Scientific and Production Association (NPO), in which the Russian Technologies State Corporation has a majority stake, develops and manufactures a wide range of special-purpose and civilian products, including Kalashnikov and Nikonov assault rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, aircraft weapons, as well as guided artillery systems.
