MOSCOW, November 20 (R-Sport) – A teenage hockey player has been hospitalized after being shot in the chest after a game in central Russia, local police said Tuesday.

Alexander Pavlinich, 19, was shot from an air pistol by a passerby who expressed his discontent with the play on Monday night, police said.

His life is not thought to be in danger, but doctors are unwilling to predict when Pavlinich might be back in action for local hockey team Tolpar Ufa, in the region of Bashkortostan.

Tolpar, competing in the Minor Hockey League, is the farm club of 2011 KHL champion Salavat Yulaev Ufa.
