MOSCOW, November 21 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian policeman is fighting for his life with more than ten knife wounds on Wednesday after an off-duty colleague stabbed him in his own apartment on Tuesday night after getting drunk, Krasnoyarsk Region investigators said.
The attacker, named by Krasnoyarsk Region investigators as 30-year-old Senior Sergeant Vladimir Tyen, is also facing charges of involvement in the killings of two homeless people, whose bodies were found the day before in a trash canister on the city's Ulyanovskaya Ulitsa with multiple stab wounds. The motive for the homicides, Tyen said, was his dislike of homeless people's lifestyle.
Investigators found the murder weapon during a search of the suspect's apartment, which he admitted to using in the killings.
The investigation continues.
