MOSCOW, November 22 (R-Sport) - CSKA Moscow bounced back from a surprise Euroleague regular season defeat to Barcelona by beating Partizan Belgrade 78-61 at home Thursday.
CSKA moves to a 6-1 record with the win, while the Serbians drop to 1-6 and see their hopes of a place in the Top 16 all but disappear.
Sonny Weems top-scored for CSKA with 14 points to continue his impressive Euroleague record, although his average drops to 16.57, while teammate Sasha Kaun’s six defensive rebounds helped out at the other end of the court.
CSKA did most of the damage in a 25-14 second quarter and led every quarter of the match.
For Partizan, Dragan Milosavljevic and Vladimir Lucic were joint top scorers on 12 points apiece.
