MOSCOW, December 1 (R-Sport) – Columbus Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov scored the game-winning goal as Lokomotiv Yaroslavl came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Salavat Yulaev Ufa 3-2 in the KHL.
In Friday’s game in Yaroslavl, the visiting 2011 champion opened the scoring at 3:31 via former Boston Bruins center Sergei Zinovjev before Denis Khlystov doubled the lead in the 24th minute.
Lokomotiv took revenge in the last 10 minutes of the second period as Egor Averin hit the target twice and Anisimov scored the eighth goal for his lockout team since joining in September.
Lokomotiv ended its three-game losing streak and is second in the West, three points behind leader Dynamo Moscow, while Salavat Yulaev is sixth in the East.
Elsewhere, former Western Conference leader SKA St. Petersburg suffered its second consecutive defeat since the dismissal of coach Milos Riha.
Spartak Moscow thrashed the lockout team of Ilya Kovalchuk 6-1 at home, with the hosts scoring the first three goals in under four minutes in the second period.
Ex-Philadelphia Flyers forward Patrick Thoresen scored the only goal for SKA at 35:09 before Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky shipped three more Spartak goals.
SKA is third and Spartak is 12th in the West.
Another game Friday saw Eastern Conference leader Avangard Omsk beat visiting Barys Astana 3-2 in overtime.
Slovakian forward Tomas Zaborsky scored in the 63rd minute to secure the fifth-consecutive victory for last season’s Gagarin Cup runner-up and prevented eighth-placed Barys from climbing up in the playoffs zone in the East.
Meanwhile, former Chicago Blackhawks forward Petri Kontiola scored two goals, including the game winner, for Traktor Chelyabinsk as last regular season’s champion edged out Vityaz Chekhov 3-2 on the road.
Traktor sits in second in the East and Vityaz is second from bottom in the West.
Dynamo Minsk inflicted the third consecutive defeat on Evgeni Malkin’s Metallurg Magnitogorsk with a 4-3 victory on penalty shots at home.
Former Winnipeg Jets center Tim Stapleton scored the winning penalty shot after netting one in regulation. It was the second-straight Metallurg game where Pittsburgh Penguins star Malkin couldn’t record any points despite being on the ice for 25:30.
Metallurg is fourth in the East and Dynamo Minsk is 11th in the West, with its five-game losing streak ended.
In other games Friday, CSKA Moscow traveled to Russia’s Far East to beat Amur Khabarovsk 2-1 and Slovan Bratislava posted a 2-1 on-the-road victory over Sibir Novosibirsk.
Metallurg Novokuznetsk suffered its fifth consecutive defeat at the hands of visiting Lev Prague, which prevailed 3-2, and Severstal Cherepovets trounced Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg 5-0 at home.
Torpedo Nizhniy Novgorod overcame Ak Bars Kazan 3-1 on home ice, while Atlant Moscow region extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-1 beating of Neftekhimik Nizhnekams at home.
