A New Year party for children was held in the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow on Tuesday.

Five and a half thousand children from all over Russia came to Moscow for the party.

This year’s party is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the New Year shows for children in the Kremlin.

It was 50 years ago that the Kremlin Palace of Congresses, as the State Kremlin Palace was known at the time, hosted the first New Year show for children. This year’s party is designed to celebrate the event.

Starting from December 26, children will be able to see a musical fairy show titled “Untold Beauty.”

By tradition, children from South Ossetia and Abkhazia will visit the show along with peers from different regions of Russia.

The show will be staged by about 300 performers from Moscow theaters, theatrical schools, and creative teams.

A Merry Masters Fair has been organized in the SKP lobby.

Children from other regions will also go sightseeing and visit Moscow’s museums and theaters.

A master-class will be organized for children on the skating rink that opened in Red Square in early December.
