MOSCOW, January 20 (R-Sport) - Russia’s Terek Grozny said Sunday they had signed midfielder Facundo Piriz for €2.8 million from Uruguay’s Nacional on a four-and-a-half year contract.
The Uruguayan under-22 captain has passed a medical in Moscow and will now join up with Terek at their winter training base in Turkey, the team said.
“It’s nice that, having offers from leading European clubs including ones from Italy, Facundo Piriz chose our club,” Terek president Magomed Daudov said on the tournament website.
Facundo Piriz, 22, won three domestic titles during his time at Nacional.
Terek are fifth in the Russian league, which is on a winter break until March.
