BRYANSK, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russian customs officers on the Ukrainian border on Monday seized 15 night-vision devices used in Russian army tanks.
The devices were stashed in the trunk of a car bound for Ukraine’s Odessa region.
The operation was carried out after a tipoff.
The car owner claimed he knew nothing about the nature of the illegally-exported equipment, and said he had been asked to deliver it in return for a small payment to an unknown person in Odessa.
A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
