BP signed a framework accord to take 12 percent of the Trans-Anatolia project (Tanap) following Chief Executive Bob Dudley’s visit to the city on December 18.
“BP is very committed to Tanap,” BP Azerbaijan Vice President for Shah Deniz, Al Cook said.
Azerbaijan’s government and BP approved the second phase of the Shah Deniz project last year.
Shah Deniz 2 includes an expansion of the South Caucasus pipeline from the current 9 billion cubic meters a year to 25 billion cubic meters and is estimated at $25 billion, Cook said.
