MOSCOW, January 24 (RIA Novosti) – Most Russians trust public opinion polls but are increasingly disinterested in their findings, a survey by the state-run pollster VTsIOM shows.
“Most Russians (65 percent) are interested in the results of sociological surveys but their number has fallen compared to 2005 (77 per cent),” VTsIOM said.
According to the pollster, 29 percent of Russians do not care for opinion polls while 71 percent consider them necessary and useful for decision-making.
The survey was conducted on August 1-2, 2012, among 1,600 respondents in 138 Russian cities and towns. The margin of error was below 3.4 percent.
