KRASNOYARSK, February 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Renova Group and Interros holding company will team up to redevelop an international transport hub in Krasnoyarsk in Siberia, in a deal signed on Friday.

Renova subsidiary Airports of the Regions and Interros’ Interport management company signed the deal to develop an international passenger and freight hub at Yemelyanovo airport in Krasnoyarsk during the tenth Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. Renova Group is controlled by tycoon Viktor Vekselberg, while Interros is owned by another billionaire, Vladimir Potanin.

Airports of the Regions will finance, build and operate a new passenger terminal at Yemelyanovo with an area of at least 40,000 square meters and a capacity of 2.25 million passengers a year. The terminal will offer C-class services by International Air Transport Association (IATA) classification.

Interport will maintain and operate the Yemelyanovo freight compound and supply the terminal with cargo handling equipment. The company will also expand the freight terminal’s capacity as cargo turnover grows.

Airports of the Regions already operates three of Russia's largest regional airports, Koltsovo near Yekaterinburg, Kurumoch near Samara and Strigino at Nizhny Novgorod.
