ROSTOV-ON-DON, February 18 (RIA Novosti) - Police seized more than 90 kilograms (198 lbs) of marijuana from a man in south Russia’s Rostov region, the Federal Drug Control Service said on Monday.
Drug enforcers received a tip-off that a 29-year old man was offering to sell three bags of marijuana.
Officers posing as buyers bought over 90 kilograms of the drug and then found another five bags during a search of the man’s home. They also found a forged police ID, marijuana seeds and drug paraphernalia.
The Federal Drug Control Service did not say when the incident took place.
The drugs have a total estimated street value of more than 13 million rubles (about $400,000).
The man has been arrested and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of dealing narcotics.
