MOSCOW, March 22 (RIA Novosti) – Two Vietnamese women who had allegedly been exploited for sex slavery have been freed from an illegal Moscow brothel, police reported on Friday.
The police said the women were found inside the building of the former Rybak (Fisherman) hotel, where the underground brothel was based.
“The imprisoned women told police officers that the organizers [of the brothel] had offered them work at a textile factory in Russia. Then they were taken to Moscow, where their documents were confiscated and they were forced into prostitution,” the police said in a statement.
The suspects, whose identities were not revealed, have been detained.
