DUBAI, March 30 (RIA Novosti) – The United Arab Emirates, boasting the world’s tallest skyscraper, plans to add the world’s largest fish market to the list of its records this summer, local media reported on Saturday.
The facility in the UAE capital, Abu-Dhabi, will be “the largest fish market in the Arab region and the world,” Ali Mohammed Al Mansoori, adviser at the Abu Dhabi Fishermen Association, told Emarat Al Youm (Emirates Today) newspaper.
Customers will be served by 75 shops offering fish caught locally and imported from Japan, China, and other countries.
The facility, which is expected to become a popular tourist place, will be supplied with equipment to eliminate bad smell inside the market,” Emirates 24/7 news website quoted Al Mansoori as saying.
