MOSCOW, April 8 (RIA Novosti) - Two crew members were killed after a plane crashed into the Caribbean Sea during an air show in the Dominican Republic, the Dominican Today daily reported.
The Chilean-made ENAER T-35 Pillan went down on Sunday some 500 meters south of the shore of Santo Domingo’s Malecon and, according to witnesses, sank in less than a minute after hitting the water.
The daily quoted Air Force Gen. Ramon M. Hernandez as saying that the pilots killed in the accident were Second Lieutenants Rafael Eduardo Sanchez, 27, and Carlos Manuel Guerrero, 25.
John Vargas, an organizer of the air show, said that divers had already recovered the bodies from the sea.
