MOSCOW, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - Cypriot authorities have extradited to Russia a hacker suspected of stealing about $250,000, the Russian Interior Ministry said on Friday.
In 2011, Dmitry Zubakha, acting as part of a criminal gang, stole money from commercial firms by spreading malware on the Internet and gaining access to corporate accounts, the ministry said in a statement on its website.
In July 2012 Zubakha was detained in Cyprus where he had arrived on vacation.
He will be brought to Russia later in the day, escorted by Interpol's Russian Bureau and Federal Prisons Administration officers, said Marina Gridneva, a spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office.
