WASHINGTON, April 15 (RIA Novosti) - Several people were injured Monday in explosions in Boston that occurred near the finish line as the famous Boston Marathon was in progress, US media reported.
Cable television news networks said at least six people were hurt in the explosions that took place around 2:45 p.m. ET (1845 GMT).
Eyewitnesses report seeing several people missing limbs and others with blood on their heads.
About half of the runners had finished, but hundreds were still running when the explosions went off, according to the reports.
